About four months ago, Swift reached out to me with an initial offer of around $225k for my house. Their process was based only on online data points, and they asked me to submit photos so they could do a digital inspection. I did, showing that about 75% of my home had been updated (new carpet, walls, floors, lights, a patio, and landscaping).

After their inspection, instead of recognizing the upgrades, they actually lowered their offer to about $215k. On top of that, I learned they had $11k in closing costs that were never advertised upfront. What bothered me even more was their claim that although they buy homes “as-is,” they could still come back to me for repair costs even after closing. To me, that completely defeats the purpose of an as-is sale.

I decided not to go through with it. Instead, I listed my home in February and ended up selling for $265k all cash—no repairs, no inspections. That’s a $50k difference compared to what I would’ve gotten with Swift.

Looking back, I honestly regret wasting time with them. Their initial offer felt like a tactic to hook me in, only to drop it later and add hidden fees. If I could give them less than one star, I would.
