I used Zillow from 2011–2017 and did amazing business with the leads. During that time, at least six buyers turned into multiple-deal clients (anywhere from 4–10 transactions each), and I still do business with most of them today.
But starting in 2018, things changed—at least here in Miami. You’re now competing against the big brokerages that pay serious money to be the top three agents in each ZIP code. Back in the day, maybe 3–5 agents would show up per click. Now it’s way more competitive.
To even have a chance, you’d need to spend $3,000+ per month and just hope for leads. For me, there are so many better ways to invest that kind of money.
So, while Zillow was a goldmine for me years ago, I stopped using it in 2018 and wouldn’t go back.
