Do Your Research Before Hiring 72Sold
I wish I had. I just completed a 60-day contract with them and chose not to extend for another 30 days. My realtor was extremely ineffective, non-communicative, and unreliable when it came to speaking with the buyer’s agent about feedback. I had to repeatedly ask her just to follow up after showings.
Instead of working to negotiate or explore concessions when buyers mentioned small updates or remodels, she simply told me to lower my asking price—every single weekend. My home was already priced at the going rate for my community. I was willing to work with buyers on concessions, but she never had those conversations. By the time she’d tell me to reduce the price, the buyers were already long gone.
At one open house, she didn’t even turn on the air conditioning—and this was in 100-degree Arizona heat. A buyer had to ask if it even worked. She also didn’t provide water for buyers. I ended up leaving a case of water in my own fridge to make up for it.
I had asked her for consistent communication about showings, but instead I’d hear about people coming and going from my neighbors. Since I don’t live onsite, I had to text her afterward, only to get delayed or no feedback at all.
When I finally told her I wouldn’t lower my price any further, her response was: “Would you like 72Sold to make you an offer?” Their offers were only one-half to two-thirds of my asking price. That doesn’t help me sell my home at a fair value or give me enough to buy another place.
In my experience, 72Sold’s strategy is designed to push sellers into lowering their price or taking a lowball offer directly from them. I strongly urge anyone considering them to do your research and explore other options first. They might get your home sold quickly, but only if you’re willing to sell it far below market value.
If you had a great experience, I believe that comes down to the realtor. Unfortunately, mine was not great at all. I’m relieved to have moved on to another agent whose strategy already feels far more professional and effective.
